Preparation
- Try to find out as many relevant facts about the potential employer as possible eg size of company, no of offices, locations, specialist areas/niche
- Know the Position and name of the interviewer
- Remember to check the company website and industry press
- Prepare questions of the key points you would like to find out about
Getting there
- Try to do a trial run to the place of interview to check journey times
- Remember to check transport links for possible delays in advance
- Always leave in good time to ensure you arrive at the interview location early
- Have a copy of your cv with you and remember to take two original proofs of identity such as your passport or driving licence
The interview
- Be early, 5 minutes is perfect, any more than that is too early
- Be relaxed, remember you are there to portray the best image of yourself in relation to what the role requires
- Be confident, you are there because the client requested to meet you on merit after reviewing your details
- Dress appropriately, we will advise of the appropriate dress code prior to the interview
If for any reason you think you will be delayed, call your consultant in good time to advise this. Your consultant will make the client aware of the situation. |
